I reviewed my comment and I haven't wrote anything trashing another country and I didn't say that USCIS is bad. In fact, if you read carefully I am trying to defend USCIS from "Mirage's comments".
I don't know what nationality you are, but, I am an Australian and I don't need to suck up to get my green card. I will get my greencard soon, probably sooner than you.
In fact, there is a special immigration program "only for Australians" that allow me and my dependents to work and live in Australia indefinitely. That was signed in to law by the President last year, if you didn't know about that. I guess you got me wrong. Australia and America have good relationships as you know.
I still would stress to thank America for giving me the opportunity to work and live and experience America.
Please read my comments properly next time and be a little fair on your comments.

not completely true...if people had filed their i-140 and i-485 before retrogression in 2005 (that means perm was approved before september 2005), they got their gcs last year, people like me with priority dates in sept 2005 (due to the general incompetencies that we have all experienced) were able to file only in july 2007.

I think the key is the person approving the loan needs to understand immigration to certain extent. Its important that we let the officer know up-front about our immigration status so that there are no assumptions and surprises.

We have many people who are pretty knowledgeable on matters related to AC21 (like chaduv) who might be able to answer them. If it is something about this campaign and have questions - please shoot, will try to explain why we are considering it is a serious one and can affect anyone.
Everything related to EB immigration is grim for last couple years - the only two things that made some positive impact on us are July 07 fiasco and admin reforms. IV made great efforts to achieve them against all odds (just like RedSox win yesterday :)) - those two combined with AC21 regulations provided many of us the flexibility and career advancement that we missed because of this cesspool called GC. Now that flexibility is at stake. What is the use of AC21 regulations and EAD if we are not certain about whether our I485 will not be denied later.
Some have pointed out that this will not affect them or that their previous employer will not revoke I140. First of all - never assume your I140 will not be revoked - it can happen in many circumstances even if you had good relations with employer. And even if you are not planning to use AC21 right now, think about this: we are all in this together to make EB immigration better. When things are tough to make any change (legislatively or administratively) - we cannot afford to lose one of the very few positive things that happened to us. IV core fought for us - spending their time and even money - lets take some inspiration from their acts, and show them that we volunteers are serious when we say that we want to contribute to IV and make a difference to EB laws or USCIS functioning.

There are some stupid morons arguing that Eb2's are more qualified, what a farce! Eb3 guys have been waiting longer than EB2 guys for the most part. Here are some facts:
My I-140 was approved in April 2007 and I-485 was filed in August 2007. My H-1B expired on October 14, 2010 and my employer filed (using an attorney) for an extension last month. I have original H-1B filing receipt and copy for I-485 with me. I also had EAD which was scheduled to expire on October 15, 2010 and I filed myself for renewal of EAD and AP.
I lost my driving license with my wallet yesterday.
I checked NJ DMV website and in their 6 point ID verification they accept EAD and valid I-94 (which comes with H-1B approval, but I don't have either on me right now). Does anyone know what is the process in NJ. Do they accept filing receipts as valid document?
Without license I can't drive and go to work.
Any recent experience? I would really appreciate an answer.
