I wish to share my experience at POE at Newark Liberty International Airport. This may be helpful to others.
I came back to US on last Sunday on AP/EAD.
There was no issue at all while entering on AP. In fact, there were several AP/ h1B candidates. Everyone was having smooth entry.
Immigration officers were asking everyone to relax and calm down.
One person ahead of me had first and last name completely switched on I-485 and EAD than from passport.
He explained that his first and last name got switched while GC filing.
After little investigation , he was also allowed to enter by immigration officers.
Overall my experience was very good about immigration at POE.
No need to afraid if we have proper documentation.
People are unnecessarily spreading panic and rumours.

Now for GC, if I mention the previous work ex in the form, do I need to provide the returns or something??

I was on F1 OPT a few years ago, so things might have changed since then. Please confirm with your International Student office.
We were explicitly told that we cannot do any credit earning courses while on OPT. That it will void our OPT. I'm assuming that these online courses are credit earning. I'd suggest you wait till you get yr H1 papers and move to H1 status.

Though my employer is located in Kansas, we got TSC receipts and now when I extended my EAD, I got NSC's receipts...(heard it is lreatde to laod sharing among SC's)
BTW Is this a big deal in approving 485???
Anyways, can someone pls direct me(if there is thread covering 2004 approvals) or share your thoughts around PD 2004 approvals?

This incident opened my eyes and prodded me to move my fat ass to do something about this.
I just made my first contribution of $100 to IV.
Gandhi once said "Make your contribution, however insignificant you think it is. In reality, your contribution makes a huge difference".
Like he said, our little acts when combined become a formidable act and can accomplish a lot. I would suggest others make contributions too - especially now when everyone is excited - before you get back to the usual reticent state. let us not try to ride piggyback on some else's efforts.

I applied for L1 to H1 Conversion, but i am planning to travle to India from July 23 and will be back to US on 13th Aug.
Can I travle outside US after applying for conversion. Need some one to response ASAP
If you travel out of the U.S. while an application for change of status is pending the USCIS will deny the pending change of status application.

What is the impact on GC (485 application) approval for a minor Customs violation at the airport?.
I unintentionally ignored to declare some food that i was bringing and airport customs officer fined me $300.
Will this impact my 485 application, that i will be filing soon?.
Ofcourse, i am going to mention in part 3 b.of application and provide the fine receipt.
Will my GC be denied because of this?.
Please advice.

USCIS posted processing time as of Aug 31 2009.

They also updated information on their site about backlog.
USCIS: National Processing Volumes and Trends (http://dashboard.uscis.gov/) .
Backlog for I 485 pre adjudicated application went up by 20k. USCIS has mentioned few times that they will pre adjudicate all cases by Oct 2009. So we may see increase in those number till Oct 2009 posting. After that we will see reduction. How much reduction.. No one can guess. But definitely EB2 will not get more than 25k per year so it will be easily 5 years to clear all backlog for Eb2. Number may go up because of Eb3 - Eb2 porting after one year when they get their labor approved.

I just missed 120-90 day window for filing EAD. My EAD expires on oct 12 and today is July 12TH.
Other stats:
Have H1B active with current employer till Feb 2009
Just got my priority date current - EB2 July 2004 for India
I-140 approved, I-485 and I-140 filed last year receipt date Sept 2007
Questions:
How can I get new EAd now?
I can continune working on H1B correct?

i believe PD is mentioned only on 140, it will not be mentioned on 485.

Hi,
I wish to scroll horizontally using two custom buttons (a left & a right one) in a FlowLayoutPanel, while disabling the autoscroll properties, as I do not wish to have the scrollbar. The controls that will be added into the FlowLayoutPanel will be subjected to changes, as it depends the number of data in the database.
So is there any tutorial/website that anyone can recommend for this related problem?
And also, I do know what to put for my horizontalscroll.maximum and minimum value as my flow direction is RighttoLeft.
